The lavalier microphone shall be a pre-polarized condenser type with an omni-directional polar pattern. The effective frequency response shall be 20 Hz to 20 kHz within ±2 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. With a soft boost grid attached a 3 dB soft boost at 8 – 20 kHz shall be present and with a high boost grid a 10 dB boost at 12 kHz shall be present. The sensitivity shall be 6 mV/Pa (-44 dB re. 1V/Pa)  at 1 kHz within a tolerance of ±3 dB. The equivalent noise level shall be 26 dB(A). The microphone shall not exceed 1% THD at 137 dB SPL peak. The microphone shall have a dynamic range of 111 dB. The Max. SPL (10 % THD) shall be 144 dB SPL peak. The rated output impedance shall be 30 – 40 Ω and the connector type shall be MicroDot. The cable length shall be 1.8 m with a cable diameter of 1.6 mm and in black color. The microphone diameter shall be 5.4 mm (0.21 in) and the length 12.7 mm (0.5 in). The microphone shall have detachable caps and the microphone shall be protected against water and dust to an IP58 rating. The operating temperature shall range from -40°C to 45°C (-40°F to 113°F) and the microphone shall function in humidity levels up to 90%. The polarity of the signal on the center pin shall be positive going for a positively increasing sound pressure.
