The headset microphone shall be a pre-polarized condenser type with an omni-directional polar pattern. The microphone diameter shall be 5.4 mm (0.21 in). The frequency response shall be 20 Hz to 20 kHz with an effective frequency range within ±2 dB from 40 Hz to 20 kHz and with a 3 dB soft boost at 8 – 20 kHz. The sensitivity shall be 6 mV/Pa (-44 dB re. 1V/Pa) at 1 kHz within a tolerance of ±3 dB. The equivalent noise level shall be 26 dB(A). The microphone shall not exceed 1% THD at 137 dB SPL peak. The microphone shall have a dynamic range of 111 dB. The Max. SPL (10 % THD) shall be 144 dB SPL peak. The rated output impedance shall be 30 – 40 Ω and the connector type shall be MicroDot. The cable length shall be 1.2 m with a cable diameter of 1.6 mm and in black color. The microphone boom and detachable cap shall be black inclusive the stainless-steel grid of the cap. The microphone shall be protected against water and dust to an IP58. The operating temperature shall range from -40°C to 45°C (-40°F to 113°F) and the microphone shall function in humidity levels up to 90%. The polarity of the signal on the center pin shall be positive going for a positively increasing sound pressure.
